jillymags asks

Hi Isaac!
What would you like to be some day?
Jill
When I was young I really wanted to be a chef and all sorts of things. But now I really wanna be a vet. I know it would take like 8 more years of school but if Jen Halverson who became a doctor did it then I can do (it). I just don't (know) if I should be a wild life vet or a normal vet.

  2. Hi Isaac!

My name is Trish and I really enjoy your writing, and your insights. My question for you is: What is one thing that you wish that adults would better understand?

  4. Hi Isaac. I live in Haiti too, but I live in the mountains near Kenscoff. I was wondering, what are some of the things you like about living in Haiti? Do you have a favorite Haitian food? (My favorite is probably bannann peze ak pikliz)

  5. Hi Isaac! I'm a science professor in the US and I have many students who wish to become vets. Which are your favorite animals? Which is your least favorite one?

  6. Hi Isaac - that's really cool that you want to be a vet. I live in Australia, and my husband and I are both vets. He does heaps of surgery, especially bone surgeries. I like behaviour work - that's helping when animals are doing really difficult things and it's hard for the owners to live with then. My husband works with all sorts of animals - mostly cows, alpacas, dogs and cats. I just work with dogs and cats. If you ever want to do some prac work in Australia, you could come to our practice. We have lots of students come. ~ Fiona

  7. I am SO HAPPY that a vet in Australia said hello to me!! When can I come work with you? Do I have to be a little older?

  8. Isaac, I think you should definitely have a "Dear Isaac" column when you grow up. You could answer animal questions. You are such a great writer!

  9. Hi Isaac,
When you are older we'd love to have you come and do vet prac with us. We have a mixed practice in Victoria. We see lots of dairy cows, lots of dogs and cats, some horses, alpacas and a mixture of other animals. When you study at Uni, you have to do a certain number of weeks working in different types of clinics. We are certified with Melbourne University to take students, so I'm sure we could take American students too! If you have anything we can help you with on your career path, just get in touch.
